Top 10 Best Marvel Movies
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is a movie studio that makes some of the best worldwide movies. These movies are based on graphic novels about the Marvel superheroes. The genius behind Marvel is the late Stan Lee (1922-2018). Now, let's take a look at some of my favorite Marvel movies!
To clarify, this list is based on my top 10 movies.

1. Thor Ragnarok
Metascore: 74 | My score: 93
Thor is imprisoned across the universe from his home, Asgard. He is forced to compete in a gladiator-like game against an ally and fellow Avenger, the Hulk. Back on his home Asgard, Thor’s sister Hela, the Goddess of death has arrived. Destined to destroy Asgard and the Asgardian people, Thor must escape imprisonment, and save his home and people. This movie is great! It’s a well-directed and executed movie with some amazing stars. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson Mark Ruffalo, and Jeff Goldblum all star in this movie.
2. Spider-Man Far: From Home
Metascore: 69 | My score: 90
Peter Parker and his class go to Europe on a school trip. This vacation was the vacation Peter needed, but Nick Fury had other plans. Nick Fury shows up in Peter's room to recruit him for a team saving the world. Unfortunately, four massive elemental creatures (Earth, Air, Water, and Fire) threaten the world. Peter must become Spider-Man to help fellow superhero Mysterio save the world. This movie is another plot-twisting story from Marvel. Full of surprises, this movie received a Metascore of 69. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, and Samuel L. Jackson star in this movie.
3. Black Panther
Metascore: 88 | My score: 88
After his father’s death, T’Challa returns home to his country of Wakanda to take his place as king. T’Challa is setting his reputation when a powerful enemy challenges his place as king and the Black Panther. The young king must gather all his strength and wits to beat this challenge. A fan favorite, this thrilling movie is brilliant. The beloved late Chadwick Boseman plays the Black Panther and is accompanied by other stars such as Michael B. Jordan, Letitia Wright, and Martin Freeman.
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
Metascore: 76 | My score: 88
Peter Quill, a space adventurer, is on the run from countless bounty hunters. Peter Quill stole an orb from the powerful and feared villain, Ronan. Eager to escape, Quill finds himself in a truce with four other outsiders. Rocket Racoon, Groot, Gamora, and Drax the Destroyer. When the group discovers the universal danger the orb poses, they must unite to save the cosmos. This movie is a hilarious, action-packed movie to lighten up your day. Chris Pratt plays Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Dave Bautista stars as Drax the Destroyer. Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Racoon, and Vin Diesel voices Groot.
5. Doctor Strange
Metascore: 72 | My score: 87
A horrific car accident end’s Dr. Stephen Strange’s life as a neurosurgeon. With his hands permanently damaged, a desperate yet hopeful Strange seeks some other solution to his problems. He goes to the Nepalese mountains to seek help from the Ancient One. While training to regain stability in his hands, he also becomes a powerful sorcerer. After some time, Strange learns of the dark forces fixed on destroying reality. Now the most powerful sorcerer in existence, Strange must give his all to defend the universe from the dark force. Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Tilda Swinton and the rest of the cast have you hooked through the whole movie.
6. Black Widow
Metascore: 67 | My score: 81
Natasha Romanoff' 's dark history catches up to her. Her past arises around her. With old enemies resurfacing, Natasha has to relive the pain of her childhood and fight against those who wronged her. In addition, she must relive her journey to become a spy and fix bruised relationships before she joined the Avengers. Marvel tried to describe Natasha's experience. This is her origin story portraying her experience, hurt, and journey from childhood to adulthood. Black Widow received a Metascore of 67 and was acted out by a cast including Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz.
7. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Metascore: 71 | My score: 84
The newest release of this list definitely is a new approach from Marvel. Shang-Chi covers the past of a martial arts master. A past Shang-Chi thought he left behind. Instead, his name resurfaced in the 10 ring organization. Wanting to clear his name, Shang-Chi must learn to overcome challenges from his past to face the future. Simu Liu plays Shang-Chi, Awkwafina plays Katy, and Tony Leung Chiu-wai plays Shang Chi’s dad.
8. Avengers Endgame
Metascore: 78 | My score: 83
Avengers Endgame was the ultimate movie. After Thanos reappears, the Avengers must reunite and assemble to beat him once and for all. After Thanos previously blipped out half of the earth’s population in Avengers Infinity War, the Avengers must find a way to bring back their allies, stop Thanos from reaching invincibility, and then beat Thanos. With an incredible cast of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, and Josh Brolin as Thanos, this movie is full of great actors.
9. Captain America: Civil War
Metascore: 75 | My score: 80
Political pressure mounts to hold the Avengers accountable for the collateral damage their actions cause. While Tony Stark agrees with the idea of government oversight of the group, Steve Rogers bitterly disagrees. Rodgers believes that the Avengers should be free to protect the world without government assistance or oversight. A bitter feud arises between the two and the Avengers are forced to pick sides. It was acted out by a star-studded cast of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, and Elizabeth Olsen.
10. Iron Man
Metascore: 79 | My score: 77
Tony Stark, a genius, inventor, industrialist billionaire has gone to Afghanistan to conduct a weapons test for his company. After the weapons test, his return to the hotel was cut short when he was kidnapped by terrorists. Forcing him to make a deadly weapon, Stark must escape and defeat his captors. This is one of the all-time fan favorites. A classic Marvel tale executed with perfection. Acted out by Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, and Paul Bettany, this will forever be one of the first and one of the best Marvel movies.
These movies are the ones to watch if you are looking for a good Marvel movie to watch. They are all brilliant in their own way and are some of my favorite movies in general. As of 2022, all Marvel movies can be found on Disney+. To add, a bunch of new Marvel movies are coming out soon!
